The Many Sides of My Work
Many worlds, one thread
I love diversity – and it shows in my work, too. As a self-employed person I am at home in different worlds: on the building site as a site manager, on the web and in programming, in the sound space of audio engineering.
As different as they seem, they are connected like rivers that spring from the same source. In each of these worlds it is about giving shape to ideas. Recognising connections where others see only separate parts. And finding solutions that hold – like a good foundation, clean code or a sound that sits exactly right.
This diversity keeps me awake and alive. It lets me learn anew again and again, with open eyes and a curious heart. And often I carry a spark from one world over into the other, where it ignites something new.

Structures on the outside, depth on the inside
For many years I planned. Coordinated projects, connected people, looked for solutions. I helped shape structures – on the outside, for others. Visible, measurable, usable. Walls that stand. Deadlines that hold. Plans that work out.
And yet something in me often remained unfulfilled. Something that found no place in any standard, in any diary or on any plan. Like a room in the house for which there was no door.
What I was looking for was depth. What I felt was longing. Not for more – but for truthfulness. For meaning. For heart. For being.
Today I recognise: this, too, is part of my path. What I shape on the outside gives me ground. What I discover on the inside gives me direction. Like a cairn in the mountains: stone upon stone, firmly joined and yet only there to show the way. Both may exist side by side and nourish each other, just as roots and crown carry the same tree.
I still plan and accompany building projects with joy. Especially when there are people behind them who feel deep in their hearts: it can be done differently. More consciously. More humanely. More connected.
I see myself as a pioneer for a new, brighter world. Not because I already have all the answers, but because I seek them with an open heart and live by them step by step.
I carry a vision within me: of buildings that serve people. Of places that do not just give shelter but open hearts. Of rooms in which you involuntarily breathe more slowly. That heal, connect, remind. Where the light falls through the window like an invitation and the walls tell of the nature they are made from.
Perhaps one day they will come into being – together with others who feel the same. Perhaps the first stone is being laid today.
Structures of light. Of sound. Of consciousness. And of materials that carry a soul.
