Anaconda
The keeper of transformation
Nature of the anaconda
The anaconda is the largest snake in the world. It lives in the water and on the banks of the great rivers – calm, patient and of tremendous strength. Among the Shipibo, the great cosmic anaconda is called Ronin. From her patterns come the Kené – the sung lines that run through all life. Again and again she sheds her old skin and appears anew.
Inner attitude
The anaconda is in no hurry. She rests, observes, gathers her strength – and only moves when the time is ripe. She flows with the water instead of fighting the current.
The essential qualities
- transforming
- primordially strong
- patient
- flowing
- connected with the origin
She lets go of what has become too tight.
Meaning
The anaconda appears when a shedding is due: when old patterns, roles or habits have become too tight. She invites you to shed the old and to show yourself anew in your original power. Transformation takes time – and it happens from within.
Voice of the being
«Shed your skin – and become who you are. What you lay down makes room for your true pattern.»
Encounter & working together
You meet the anaconda by the water: at a river, a lake, in the rain. Lie down, feel your spine and let a wave flow through your body – slowly, from the pelvis to the head.
Pay attention to
- where something has become too tight for you
- where you are fighting against the current
- where a transformation has already begun
The anaconda works when you are ready to shed your skin.
Essence
I let go of the old and show myself in my true pattern.
