The Sirena Caspi is a tree of the riverbanks, where the forest flows into the water. Its name means «tree of the mermaid». In Amazonian tradition the water beings live in the rivers and lakes – mermaids and other spirits of the deep. It is said that the spirit of this tree comes from the water and appears in the shape of a mermaid. Which tree exactly is meant is hardly described. Its nature belongs to the river.
