Sangre de Grado
The keeper of life force
Nature of the tree
The sangre de grado grows quickly, often at forest edges and in clearings where the forest is forming anew. Its leaves have the shape of a heart. When its bark is wounded, a deep red sap emerges – which is why it is called "dragon's blood". It stands for the life force that keeps flowing even in the wound.
Inner attitude
The sangre de grado does not hide its vulnerability. What strikes it, it shows openly – and lives on.
