Angelica
The keeper of luminous support
Nature of the plant
Angelica grows in damp places, along stream banks and in floodplains, and grows taller than a person. Its hollow stems carry large spherical umbels made of countless greenish flowers. The whole plant smells spicy. Its name comes from an old legend: an angel is said to have shown the plant to people in hard times. In northern Europe it was a valued plant from early on.
Inner attitude
Angelica stands upright and radiates in all directions. It is tall, but not heavy. It holds its flowers up to the sky like a ball of light.
