Ajo Sacha

The keeper of clear air

Nature of the plant

Ajo Sacha is a climbing liana of Amazonia. When its leaves are crushed, they smell of garlic – hence its name, «wild garlic». Its funnel-shaped flowers open violet and grow lighter over time. In Amazonian plant medicine it is regarded as a cleansing teacher that drives away heaviness and clears the head.

Inner attitude

Ajo Sacha is fresh and direct. It says what is and clears things up. Its clarity is tart, but friendly.

The essential qualities

  • cleansing
  • clarifying
  • fresh
  • climbing
  • uplifting

It brings air to where things have grown stuffy.

Meaning

Ajo Sacha calls when heaviness has built up in you and you feel sluggish or weighed down. It teaches you to let go of what burdens you and to breathe freely again.

Voice of the plant

«Open the windows. What does not belong to you may leave.»

Encounter & working together

You meet it where tendrils wind their way up other plants towards the light. Open a window, take three deep breaths and imagine something heavy leaving the room with every out-breath.

Pay attention to

  • what weighs you down
  • where your life has grown stuffy
  • what you can let go of

Ajo Sacha works when you are ready to make room for something fresh.

Essence

I let go of what weighs me down and breathe freely.
