Mythical beings

Pegasus

The keeper of inspiration

Nature of Pegasus

Pegasus is the winged horse of Greek legend. When Perseus defeated Medusa, it sprang from her blood – out of the darkest came light. Where its hoof struck Mount Helicon, the spring Hippocrene burst forth, from which the Muses drank. In the end it flew to the stars and became a constellation itself.

Inner attitude

Pegasus carries only those who trust him. He rises not out of ambition, but out of joy in flying. His strength is light – it comes from above and wants to be shared.

The essential qualities

  • winged
  • creative
  • free
  • bold
  • light

Wherever he appears, something begins to flow.

Meaning

Pegasus appears when your creative source has been buried. He reminds you that inspiration is not forced but received. And he gently warns against hubris: whoever reaches too high loses their footing.

Voice of the being

«Let yourself be carried. The source is there – you only need to look up.»

Encounter & working together

You meet Pegasus in cloud shapes, at springs, in the moment when an idea comes as if by itself. Sit by flowing water and listen until an image, a sentence or a melody rises in you.

Pay attention to

  • where you want to hold on to ideas instead of letting them flow
  • where your creating has become heavy
  • where something makes you light and glad

Pegasus works when you are ready to let your inspiration carry you.

Essence

I open myself to the source and let it carry me.
