Nature of the water nymph
The water nymph lives in lakes, springs and rivers. In the legends of Europe she sings on the shore, combs her long hair and lures with her voice. On the Rhine people tell of the Lorelei, in France of Melusine, in fairy tales of Undine. Later images give her a fish tail like the mermaid. She stands for the depth of feeling – for what calls us and what we do not yet understand.
Inner attitude
The water nymph is entirely in the flow. She holds on to nothing and lets the water carry her. Her power lies in listening and in sound.
