Griffin
The keeper of hidden gold
Nature of the griffin
The griffin has the body of a lion and the head, wings and talons of an eagle. Already in the ancient Near East and in ancient Greece it kept watch at temples and tombs. The Greeks told that in the far north it guarded the gold of the mountains. In it earth and sky unite – the strength of the lion and the gaze of the eagle.
Inner attitude
The griffin is watchful, never greedy. It guards what is precious without wanting it for itself. Its strength serves protection, not power.

Meaning

Voice of the being
«What is golden in you deserves protection. Stand up for it.»
Encounter & working together
You meet the griffin at old gates and on coats of arms, on rocks high above the valley, in dreams of guardians. Place one hand on the earth and lift your gaze to the sky. What in you is worth guarding?
Pay attention to
- where you belittle your gifts
- where someone crosses your boundaries
- where your courage is needed to protect something precious
The griffin works when you are ready to guard your inner gold.
Essence
I guard what is precious in me with courage and far sight.
